MoU between IIHS and NHS, UK to deliver the Mental Health Module

IIHS signed a MoU with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Trust and Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust on 23rd November 2022- on the day of the 21st BioInquirer Research Forum was held at IIHS Multiversity.

Mr. Paul Johnson (Associate Director of Nursing & Group Analytic Psychotherapist, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust) representing NHS Foundation Trust and Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe (CEO/Co-founder) representing IIHS with the purpose of implementation of the training programmes on mental health for the Sri Lankan nurses who have completed the Bachelors in Nursing successfully.

The mental health programme has been developed on an existing programme funded by EU and updated for the NHS through University of East Anglia. The programme will be conducted face-to- face and also virtually ensuring accessibility for fifty nurses (per year) with three to four weeks period in two cohorts. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the programme.
