Foundation in Biological Sciences
This qualification encompasses the study of basic sciences to effectively prepare students for studies in tertiary level healthcare-related programmes. Students who complete this programme could either enter a professional career-based diploma or a degree programme offered by IIHS. Foundation in Biological Science (FBS) is a comprehensive program preparing students to commence an Undergraduate Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy and Nursing Programmes. This programme is designed to supplement the Advanced Level studies & the programme would also be handy for the students who have not had a science education for their advanced level. Thus, this programme empowers them to take have a solid start to their career-based education.
- A student who has completed this program would typically have the ability to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic biological and related scientific concepts.
- Demonstrate knowledge basic and advanced mathematics.
- Understand the factors and processes which contribute to the scientific method.
- Apply their knowledge to analyze, interpret and critically evaluate scientific data.
- Demonstrate laboratory skills and knowledge of planning and designing basic experiments.
- Use effectively transferable skills in communication, information technology, English, team working, critical thinking, setting tasks, problem solving and self-management.
- Prepare students for and initiate students into the culture of University-level study, both in terms of the academic standards and the study patterns required.

After completion of the Foundation in Biological Sciences, students can follow their Advanced Diploma Programmes in General Nursing, Biomedical Sciences & Physiotherapy or any healthcare or education related fields.

Completion of London Ordinary level or 5 passes including English and Science, C pass is required for English Language.
