The Diploma in General Nursing (DGN) is designed to produce Graduates who are professionally competent to practice nursing and to professionally empower qualified nurses with the academic attributes and values required of them in the nursing profession. The Diploma prepares students for the private sector, while allowing them to academically mature in popular specialized areas as well.
The programme is arranged to provide thorough practical training to the students as well as to comply with the practicing environments of nurses. Therefore, the programme is strengthened with techniques of adult learning, student-centered learning and online learning where the learning can be paced comfortably to suit an adult learner.
The DGN also prepares students for international healthcare careers, equipping them with the qualifications and skills recognized by healthcare systems worldwide. Graduates will have the option to pursue career opportunities across the globe, making them eligible for migration pathways and healthcare roles in various countries.

Upon completing the Advanced Diploma in General Nursing, students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree through top-up programs at several prestigious universities. These universities offer pathways to complete the degree in just one additional year (3+1). The available pathways are:
5 passes in O/Levels including English and Science with a Grade C in English Language and 3 passes in A/Levels any stream OR IIHS Foundation in Biological Sciences Or Other Recognized Foundation or qualification Equivalent to SLQF Level 3 or NVQF level 5
